بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Dedicated to: RIZHWANA for all the likes.
I am having a bad day! First I woke up to find mendhi on my hands, not just that but that jerk Khalid’s name was written on my hands instead of a pretty pattern. Then Hafsa stayed in the library doing some work during break time and Basheera for some reason seemed to be avoiding me.
As I was now ditched by both of my friends I decided to join the boys. This was not a very good decision because once they caught sight of the mendhi I had to deal with their taunts about loving my brother so much. I should have just worn gloves but then I would have probably roasted because it was boiling hot today. Due to the heat no one wanted to play in the sun so we settled on playing donkey and guess who was donkey… yeah it was me. As I said I’m having a bad day.
Now we’re waiting for Basheera to come over so that we can get started on the donut batter. Hafsa is already here but we still waiting for Basheera to come. I also want to know why Basheera has been avoiding me the whole day. Hearing the door bell ring I went to open the door for Basheera and the guilty look on her face told it all. “You helped Khalid!” I accused. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry but I honestly didn’t know what Khalid wanted it for? I did find his request strange but hey Khalid is weirdo. If you want I can change it into something that actually looks nice?” She said guiltily.
Deciding that anything is better than Khalid’s name I let her do it and I was not let down, Basheera sure is good at putting mendhi. There is now no sign of Khalid’s name on my hands for which I’m grateful. “Even though I don’t like mendhi you not only took out Khalid’s name but actually changed it into something that looks good. For doing such a good job I forgive you. Now we have a batter to get started on.” I said.
We began making the donut batter and hey don’t look at me like that I actually helped. Basheera was finding the ingredients, Hafsa was mixing the ingredients together and I helped by… reading the recipe. Hey, it counts and if it’s not good enough for you, I’ll help to eat it too. After completing our batter and packing it so that it’s ready for tomorrow we started discussing our toppings but then we all froze… we heard a loud thud followed by a moan of pain. We looked at each other questioningly, hearts in our mouths, before rushing to see what had happened.
