44. Georgie porgie

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Our little Georgie porgie earned his name because he literally behaved like one. He loved troubling all the girls. He entered the house with a big mischievous grin on his face and looked around as if searching for his first target.

Spying Yaseera, he ran towards her and gave her a big sloppy kiss and laughed a wicked laugh. I’m serious, that child’s laugh is scary and sounds so evil. He then began mocking, “Haha I kissed you! And I put spit on your face. Cry now!”

This immedietly led to Yaseera bursting into tears crying for her mummy while he looked on with that mischievous grin growing bigger and bigger. Pleased that he achieved his goal, he looked around for his next victim.

He pulled his bubblegum out from his mouth and played with it while eying Zaheera from the corner of his eye. He then put it back into his mouth and began to chase her holding his sticky hands out threateningly.

Zaheera screamed and ran to lock herself up in her room. Unfazed he began banging on her door screaming for her to open. See what I meant, this child is evil! And the worst part is he’s only 5 years old.

The only person who can handle him is his sister Amina. She caught hold of him and dragged him to the bin to spit out his bubble gum. She then made him wash his hands while reciting the Quls and blowing on him.

It was so cute and amusing to watch because Amina is only 3 years bigger than him. Not to be outdone he also began mumbling some gibberish under his breath and blowing on her feeding our amusement.

Amina then scolded him, which he of course mirrored, shaking his index finger and muttering something too. She then gave him their ipad to play with so that he would be occupied.

“How’s our little mummy?” I teased.

She stuck her tongue out at me before saying, “That’s the only thing that keeps him occupied. He’s either playing games on it or taking selfies of himself. Now we’ll be free of his mischief until mummy confiscates it from him because he’s spending too much time on it.”

“That’s why this child is so naughty,” Dadi suddenly said scaring the daylights out of us. “Take pictures and show everybody, then everybody put nazr on my child and then everyone wants to know why he’s so naughty. Making big murat pictures so no angels will come to your house. Then how you going to get Allah’s Rehmat and mercy in your house? How you going to get good pious children. Big museebat this, I tell you.”

Just aspiring to inspire through the pen, or should I say, keyboard. May Allah Ta’ala accept my efforts and make it a source of Hidayah for the Ummah.
